At Miro, we strive to be a true partner for our customers to streamline their operations and help them grow. We know sending out a workpiece or part to multiple manufacturers is a hassle that lengthens turnaround time and that other contract manufacturers don’t communicate authentically or at all.
Our tagline “from start to part” illustrates how Miro solves these pain points for our customers. As a one-stop shop contract manufacturing partner, we simplify the whole process for our customers – from design to finished part – with extensive communication and collaboration throughout.
Introducing Miro’s Suite of Fabrication Services
Laser Cutting
At Miro, laser cutting is part of our sheet metal fabrication service offerings. This service is utilized to manufacture complex parts for industries that require a high degree of precision and accuracy, along with cost-effective and quick turnaround. Our lasers are fast and efficient, utilizing advanced nesting software that maximizes material usage and minimizes waste. The result is cost savings for our customers. (To learn more about our lasers, read Sheet Metal Laser Cutting: How to Improve Your Project’s Accuracy.)
Waterjet Cutting
Our waterjet can cut a wide spectrum of materials, not just metals up to a 7.00” material thickness. Additionally, waterjet cutting does not produce heat that could alter the properties of your material.
With CNC programming and short setup times, our waterjet can run with minimal human input, reducing labor costs. It produces smooth, precise cuts, eliminating the need and expense of secondary finishing operations. (For more information on waterjet cutting, read Waterjet Cutting – Learn the Benefits for Your Project with Miro Manufacturing.)
Press Brake Forming
Miro boasts multiple work centers, capacities up to 360 tons, and bed lengths reaching 14 feet. These machines are capable of handling and forming large sheet metal parts up to 0.5” thick. Whether your project involves intricate bends or custom designs, Miro can ensure precision, accuracy, and repeatability.
Our press brake forming service integrates seamlessly with our other fabrication processes, like weldings and turret punch press services, allowing us to provide comprehensive, end-to-end part production. The breadth of our services and the ability to integrate them allows us to streamline the manufacturing process to add value and reduce costs. The faster turnaround represents a huge benefit to our customer’s supply chain as well.
Turret Press Manufacturing
When low- to mid-volume part runs incorporate stamped features, we turn to our CNC turret punch press to save manufacturing time and the high cost of dedicated stamping tooling. It’s the perfect machine to run new product lines on because it allows our customers to start small and then scale up to dedicated stamping tooling as demand increases.
With a punching capacity of 22.5 tons and the ability to accommodate sheet sizes up to 49.2” x 49.2”, our turret press can punch a wide range of part dimensions into sheets of various metals up to 0.25” thick.
Mechanical Assembly and Kitting
Miro is a comprehensive manufacturing partner “from start to part.” In addition to our fabrication services, we are proud to offer mechanical assembly and kitting for our customers.
With mechanical assembly expertise, we ensure your products are assembled with precision and efficiency. When you partner with us for manufacturing, we can assemble entire units and ship them for distribution in customer-specified packaging or bundle components with hardware to create build kits. (Read about custom fabrication and contract assembly at Miro in our blog Custom Fabrication and Mechanical Assembly: Unmatched Quality from Start to Part.)
Benefits of Miro’s Welding and Fabrication Services
As we continue to evolve as a company, Miro constantly invests in our fabrication capabilities. This allows us to provide greater value for our customers by using the most current technology.
-
One-Stop Shop
Our suite of fabrication services includes laser cutting, waterjet cutting, CNC punching, press brake forming, and welding. When you consider our other capabilities (e.g., stamping and tooling design), we can handle all production phases for most parts in-house.
-
From Start to Part
We work with our customers’ design teams to ensure parts meet strict quality standards while remaining affordable. We can design tooling and test production to ensure the manufactured part meets our customers’ expectations before moving into production.
-
Capable & Experienced
Being there “from start to part” gives our customers peace of mind because they know their product is in trusted hands throughout the entire manufacturing process.
-
Time Efficient
If your part requires multiple fabrication services, as most of our customers’ parts do, we can speed up production and save you time by doing the work in-house.
-
Cost-Effective
Keeping your part at Miro from design to production is also more cost-effective than working with multiple contract manufacturing partners.
Advantages of Partnering With Miro
Partnering with a contract manufacturer that offers welding as a fabrication service has several advantages.
- We offer a more comprehensive and streamlined production process. Miro can handle multiple stages of fabrication in-house (cutting, forming, welding, finishing, etc.), which can save customers time and money.
- Our processes maintain tighter control over quality. They can ensure consistent manufacturing standards across all products and quickly identify and address issues. At Miro, we don’t let a part leave our shop if it’s not right.
- Fabrication creates more opportunities for customization. The ability to easily modify designs or create custom parts to meet customers’ needs is especially valuable to companies that require unique or specialized components.
- Contract manufacturers that offer multiple stages of fabrication in-house make for cost-effective partners. You eliminate the need for transportation between manufacturing partners, reducing handling and logistics costs, while also reducing the opportunity for errors and overall production costs.
- Without the delays of moving parts from one vendor to another, contract manufacturing partners can deliver faster turnaround times. Keeping production with a single partner enables them to optimize production for greater efficiency.
- Manufacturers that have invested in their fabrication capabilities often have access to other advanced technologies, such as robotic welding systems for increased precision and productivity. Advanced welding can lead to higher-quality products and more efficient production.
