Students from Waukesha County Technical College’s Tool and Die program recently toured Miro Manufacturing. They experienced how their classroom knowledge will be applied in the business world to design and build dies that will produce metal stampings to be assembled into automobiles, lawn mowers, machinery, appliances and many other products.
Instructor Bill Hayes commented, “The visit was exceptional, showing the students how tools they will build in the future will run in a stamping operation. The exposure to laser and waterjet cutting, press brake forming and welding brought all of the manufacturing techniques into perfect focus. The overall tour provided the students with a better understanding of how a manufacturing facility runs.”
Miro welcomes tour groups, especially students since they represent the future of manufacturing. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment.
