Governor Walker Visits Miro, Outlines New Agenda to Keep Wisconsin Working for Generations to Come

September 17, 2018

Miro Manufacturing, a metal working contract manufacturer, hosted a visit from Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, Attorney General Brad Schimel and United States Senate Candidate Leah Vukmir on August 15th.

During the event that kicked off Governor Walker’s campaign for reelection, he outlined his four-part plan to keep Wisconsin moving forward and working for generations to come. The plan includes expanding youth apprenticeship programs to 7th and 8th graders, tax credits for tech school and college graduates committing to stay and work in Wisconsin, reducing student loan debt and affordable child care for working families.

Metalworking Services Provider Welcomes Visit

“It is truly an honor for Miro to host these dignitaries,” says Miro President, Jeff Brown. “As a manufacturer, we appreciate their help in developing a qualified workforce for growing companies like ours.”

Brown founded Miro 30 years ago as a tool & die shop. Over the years, the company’s focus has shifted to production with the landscape of the operation growing to over 60,000 square feet. Today, Miro’s core competencies include high-volume metal stampingfabricationmachining, and assembly. Governor Walker addressed the public in Miro’s stamping building which houses presses from 60 to 1,000 tons including the company’s newest, a 330 ton Komatsu servo press. Miro’s tool & die shop remains intact as a full-service support mechanism for its production capabilities.
