Miro Adds 8,000 Watt Fiber Laser with Full Load/Unload Automation

December 1, 2020

Fiber Laser Cutting Services

Miro Manufacturing expanded its fabrication capabilities with the purchase of a Mitsubishi fiber laser outfitted with full automation. The machine enhances Miro’s overall ability to provide complete fabrications from metal laser cutting and waterjet cutting to metal forming and welding.

Miro’s new laser is a model 3015eX-F80Z fiber laser with an output of 8,000 watts. It is equipped with Mitsubishi’s SmartFlex RAPID automation, which boasts one of the fastest load/unload cycle times available.

Benefits of New Fiber Laser Technology

The technology includes Motion Cut, Zoom Cutting Head, and High Peak Pierce which combine to increase cutting speeds, reduce cutting time, lower power input and most importantly, reduce cost – for Miro and in turn for you.

Fiber Laser Cutting Capabilities:

With 8,000 watts of power Miro can laser cut carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel to 1” thick using oxygen, and 3/8” thick using nitrogen.

Jeff Brown, Miro’s Owner and President, commented, “Technology is a funny thing. It changes so quickly, but you either keep up with it or get left in the dust by your competition. This is Miro at its best staying on the cutting edge of new technology. We benefit. Our customers benefit. Everybody’s happy.

From Fiber Laser Cutting to Fabrication & Assembly

Diversification is a key ingredient to Miro Manufacturing’s success. The company, founded as a tool & die shop in 1988, has vastly expanded its core competencies over the past two decades to include metal stampingfabricationmachining, and assembly, all while maintaining a full-service onsite tool room. Miro collaborates with its diverse customer base on everything from product design through the manufacturing of parts, assemblies and complete products, or “from start to part.”
