Miro Expands Facilities

Waukesha Metal Fabrication Company Improves Efficiency

Multiple Services; One Location

Miro Manufacturing has acquired additional property and facilities in Waukesha, WI to support its growth in the metal stamping and fabrication industries. The expansion provides Miro with over 125,000 square feet and lays the groundwork for the company’s plan to incorporate all of its business units under one roof. This plan affords Miro the best scenario for efficiency, productivity, enhanced performance, and profitability.

Increased Capacity Reduces Supply Chain Complexity

The new location will house Miro’s corporate offices as well as its fabrication and assembly departments, including a newly purchased 8,000 watt Mitsubishi fiber laser equipped with full load and unload automation. Miro offers metal stamping with presses to 1,000 tons; fabrication services including laser and waterjet cutting, press brake forming, welding and assembly; machining; and an onsite tool room with comprehensive tooling services to support all its production capabilities. Miro’s expanding operations accommodate the demands of today’s customers, namely a partner able to provide multiple, complementary services allowing the reduction of the customer’s supply chain.

How Die Building Led to Metal Fabrication & More

Established in 1988 as a tool & die shop, Miro has transformed itself over the years into the metalworking contract manufacturer it is today. Once strictly a die builder, today the vast majority of business is generated through its production services including metal fabrication. Jeff Brown, Miro President, says, “The transformation has made us a stronger, more versatile company able to withstand the high peaks and low valleys of the tooling industry.”

Miro’s advancements continue to position the company as an ideal supplier – large enough to handle major projects; and flexible enough to react quickly to the changing needs of its customers. A trade publication editor recently referred to Miro as having “the shoulders of a giant and the footprint of a ninja”.
