Miro Manufacturing has a long history of continual improvement. Though the company was founded in 1988 as a tool & die shop, we have evolved into a contract manufacturer offering metal stamping, fabrication, machining, and more.
Electrical discharge machining (EDM), is a precision metal cutting process that uses electrical discharges to remove material from a workpiece. This manufacturing process is non-contact, incredibly precise, and capable of cutting various materials. Because EDM is a submerged process, it does not create high temperatures that could change the properties of the machined material and therefore has a minimal heat-affected zone.
Miro Manufacturing serves a variety of industries: agriculture, appliance, heat transfer, heavy truck, medical, power distribution, and recycling. Though one might think these industries have little in common, we have uncovered through our decades of experience that they share one critical thing: complex challenges.
What do your car, your home washing machine, and your charcoal grill have in common? They all contain metal components formed by precision metal stamping.
As an engineer, senior buyer, or director of procurement, the decision to machine parts means there are a series of formidable challenges on the horizon. One primary concern lies in the complex interplay between design feasibility and manufacturability.
When you’re finally ready to choose a contract manufacturer for your project, you’ve almost completed designing your part. However, choosing a manufacturer isn’t as easy as it may sound.
Tooling is essential for all manufacturing processes. It involves creating the necessary fixtures to produce parts and products. The process requires a deep understanding of various techniques, from material selection to machining and final assembly.
